This won't work if one of the modules is broken. As typecastboy said above, the Blue&Me is the most likely problem, and that module needs to be either replaced, or disconnected, then you can do the alignment.

If one of the modules loses communication the odometer will flash. The most common cause of this is a low battery condition, or improper jump starting.
