Hydrophilic antioxidants
Web19 okt. 2015 · The present study describes a procedure to evaluate antioxidant interactions in oil-in-water food emulsions, which is based on controlled oxidation reactions induced in the dispersed oil phase by the lipophilic radical generator, 2,2′-azobis (2,4-dimethylvaleronitrile). WebThe water absorption rate of ~660% and 17.24° water contact angle shows good hydrophilic nature and water absorbency of the nanofiber membrane. The UV-Vis also analyzed fast drug release of >70% in 5 min. The prepared membrane also exhibits 99.9% antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and has 79% antioxidant activity.

Web20 mrt. 2024 · Hydrophilic methanol extract was tested using methanolic DPPH, whereas lipophilic extract and oil was analyzed using DPPH dissolved in ethylacetate. Major antioxidant compounds in the lipophilic oil fraction were often derived from tocopherol ( r = + 0.70) and polyunsaturated fatty acids ( r = + 0.61). WebAntioxidant Activity The antioxidant activity was measured using the ABTS/HRP decolouration method,[18,19] which is based on the capacity of different components to scavenge the ABTS radical cation (ABTS†+) compared to a standard antioxidant (Trolox) in a dose-response curve. For the hydrophilic antioxidant activity (HAA), the reaction …
