Web11 ago 2024 · The CEC TL3N surprisingly out performed the much more expensive MBL 1621 transport for my tastes. The CEC TL3N I believe retails for around $2,500. It's still a great transport. However, the Jay's Audio CDT2-MK2 out performs it across the board, is built to a higher standard, and costs less in US dollars. Web4 feb 2024 · St. Paul, Minnesota. I'm intrigued by the $2500 Jay's CD2-MK3 transport, and it's gotten stellar reviews all over. Nice design and looks like it's built like a tank. Top loader. Plays only Redbook CD, not SACD, DVD, etc.. Plays HDCDs, but not the HDCD encoding/layer, whatever, just the CD data. And it's only a transport.

It's built like a damn tank, it's a top loader, and its only job is to feed bits via BNC to the Yggy. I haven't directly A/B'd the AES output against BNC but I can say that I have absolutely no reason to.
