The 2.5L and 4.0L have more torque at the low end so they shift much sooner. Probably around 2200-2500rpms. If you wanna get some pick up out of the 2.4L dont shift till like 4500 rpms. Web16 mar 2016 · Really nothing will be interchangeable with the 2.5 or the 4.0. Your 2.4 is a completely different beast. Other than a re-gear there is not much available for the 2.4 beyond getting into the Neon turbo's. If you come to a fork in the road take it. 1999 Wrangler Chili Pepper Red.
