This age-old tradition is a core part of the social makeup of Zimbabwean upbringing. Ngano are often told to children by grownups or amongst themselves. WebShona storytelling is a form of performative sharing that uses narration to talk about morality. It is a cultural practice based in social interaction. It’s patterns of voice and material encourage audiences to play with the narrator. Practitioners of this art are called Sarungano and they are the guides of the tales.
